About Aglaonema 'Emerald Beauty'

Emerald Beauty is one of the classic, understated Aglaonema cultivars, with a rich, solid deep green leaf overlaid with lighter green feathered, marbled patterning and no red or pink coloring at all. It's closer in spirit to the plain species than the flashier hybrid colour cultivars in the genus, and shares the same low-light tolerance and easy care that makes Aglaonema a mainstay of interior plantscaping.

Species-specific things to check when evaluating a listing

  • No live market price data is recorded for this cultivar yet; treat asking prices as the seller's own, not a market benchmark
  • Confirm the leaf pattern is feathered/marbled green-on-green with no red or pink; sellers sometimes conflate it with pinker Aglaonema cultivars in the same peerFamily group
  • Check for a full, multi-cane clump rather than a single stem
  • Inspect leaf undersides for mealybugs

The Understated One

Emerald Beauty sits apart from most of its peerFamily group by leaving out colour entirely: no red, no pink, just a deep green blade overlaid with a lighter green feathered pattern. Closer in spirit to the plain species than to hybrids like Red Valentine or Siam Aurora bred for maximum colour contrast, it's easy to overlook next to its showier relatives. That restraint is really the point. It reads as a foliage plant rather than a colour statement, and it shares the wider genus's tolerance for low light and casual care.
