About Aglaonema 'Lady Valentine'

Lady Valentine carries a softer, more blended pink-and-green mottled leaf than its bolder 'Red Valentine' relative, with pink concentrated toward the leaf centre and fading into green at the margins. A widely available, easy-care colour Aglaonema well suited to lower-light interiors.

Before You Buy

Species-specific things to check when evaluating a listing

  • Exact parentage isn't publicly documented for this commercial hybrid; treat 'true to type' naming claims with the same caution you would any unregistered cross
  • Confirm pink is concentrated toward the leaf centre and fades to green at the margins. A bolder, more even pink/red coverage suggests Red Valentine mislabelled as Lady Valentine
  • No live market price data is recorded yet, so treat asking prices as seller-set rather than benchmarked
  • Check for firm, undamaged nodes on multiple canes

Softer Than Its Namesake Suggests

Lady Valentine is easy to confuse with Red Valentine at a glance, and the two are clearly related lines, but the pattern is genuinely different once you look closely. Lady Valentine keeps its pink concentrated toward the leaf centre and lets it fade out to green at the margins, rather than the denser, more evenly speckled red-and-pink coverage of its bolder relative. Like most commercial Aglaonema hybrids, the exact cross behind it isn't published, so I treat it as a named selection rather than a documented pairing of two known parents.
