August 2026 Price Guide

Most Expensive Aglaonema Varieties in 2026, Ranked

Long grown as low-light office foliage, Aglaonema's modern named cultivars are commercial breeding lines with real collector prices attached.

By Aroid Atlas · Data sourced from live UK sold-price tracking · Prices shown for a 7cm plant, updated August 2026

Aglaonema has long been grown as low-light interior foliage, but it's now also collected for named cultivars carrying pink, red or silver leaf pigmentation bred from commercial Thai and Filipino breeding lines. Most modern named cultivars are hybrids of undocumented parentage rather than direct selections of a single wild species.

We ranked every Aglaonema in our database by current price tier and live UK sold-price data. Each entry links to a full species profile with care notes and price history.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all these named Aglaonema cultivars different species?

No, most are commercial hybrids of undocumented parentage bred within Aglaonema commutatum-derived breeding lines, distinguished by cultivar name rather than species.

Why are red and pink Aglaonema cultivars more expensive?

Strongly pigmented breeding-line hybrids (Red Anjamani, Siam Aurora) come from more limited commercial stock than the genus's traditional low-light green forms, and the pigmentation is light-dependent, making consistent colour harder to guarantee in propagation.
