These terms govern your use of aroidatlas.co.uk (“Aroid Atlas”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

The service

Aroid Atlas is a reference directory and market-price index for rare tropical plants. Optional account features let you track a personal plant collection (“greenhouse”), maintain a wishlist, and receive price-drop alerts.

Price data is informational, not advice

Prices shown on Aroid Atlas are historical statistics computed from public auction and retail listings using automated calculations. They are estimates of general market trends, not appraisals, professional valuations, or financial advice, and should not be relied on as the sole basis for a purchase or sale decision. The rare plant market is volatile and actual prices can differ substantially from what's shown. See our methodology page for how prices are calculated.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts used for abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful activity.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
• Scrape, bulk-extract, or systematically reproduce site content or price data without permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service (e.g. attempting to bypass rate limits or overload our infrastructure).

Content and intellectual property

Species profiles, illustrations, and market data on Aroid Atlas are our content or licensed to us, and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission. Botanical facts themselves aren't owned by anyone, but our compiled profiles, imagery, and price analysis are.

Third-party links

We link to third-party retailers and auction listings for reference. We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party sites, or for any transaction you make with them.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Aroid Atlas is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on any information (including price data) shown on it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
