About
Shangri-La is one of the Japanese Terunoworld line of Epipremnum aureum mutations, distinguished entirely by leaf texture rather than colour — leaves are heavily curled and crinkled and never open flat, producing a dense, ruffled, almost sculptural mass of foliage. There's no variegation at all; the entire appeal is the tightly folded, three-dimensional leaf form, which is unlike almost anything else in the pothos world. It roots and grows similarly to standard aureum but the compact, curled growth habit makes it a slower spreader than the plain species.
