About
Begonia maculata 'Annan Grace' is a named cane begonia cultivar distinguished not by variegation but by a bolder spotting pattern than the plain species — mixed large and small silver dots that run right out to the leaf margin instead of stopping short of it, framed by a fine green edge. The leaf undersides carry the usual deep red, and mature plants produce white flowers with a faint pink blush. It is a genuine, stable cultivar rather than a chimeric sport, which makes it easier to propagate true to type than the variegated forms on this page, though it remains uncommon in general circulation and is mostly traded between collectors rather than sold at garden centres.
