Anthurium crystallinum
Crystal Anthurium

Morphology
About
Anthurium crystallinum is one of the foundational velvet anthuriums — a compact, self-supporting species from humid tropical forests spanning Panama to Peru, where it grows terrestrially or occasionally lithophytically on moist, organic-rich substrates in deep shade. The broad, cordate leaves are a deep velvety dark green with an open sinus and strikingly beautiful silvery-white primary venation that gives the plant its crystalline quality. Petioles arise from a short crown with surface roots, and the plant remains neatly self-supporting rather than climbing. As the parent of an enormous number of celebrated hybrids — crystallinum × magnificum, crystallinum × forgetii and many others — this is a species of genuine horticultural importance as well as great beauty in its own right.

Price Guide & Market Data
Historical auction metrics and live retailer listings updated weekly.
How prices are calculated: The AA Price uses verified eBay UK completed auction data — we take the trimmed mean (removing the top and bottom 20% of prices) to produce a fair-value guide. When recent auction data is unavailable, the AA Price falls back to the current UK retail average. All prices are in GBP and updated automatically.
