Quick Facts
Morphology
About
Golden Bone combines the glossy, arrow-shaped foliage of Alocasia micholitziana with the thick, metallic-textured leaves of Alocasia cuprea, producing deep green leathery leaves with a burgundy-red underside and strikingly bright golden-yellow central and primary veins. The vein contrast is the plant's defining feature — 'bone' referring to the pale, almost skeletal tracery standing out against the dark blade. It shares its parents' preference for stable warmth and consistently high humidity, and is a relatively compact, clumping grower rather than a climber.
