Quick Facts
Morphology
About
Dragon Moon crosses two heavily textured Alocasia species — melo and cuprea — landing on a leaf surface that reads as concrete-like: a matte, grey-green ground with a subtle metallic sheen and thick, bumpy relief across the blade. It's a slower, more compact grower than many hybrid Alocasia, with leaves that stay noticeably thicker and stiffer than the typical smooth, glossy Alocasia leaf. The heavy texture also makes it comparatively resilient to minor handling damage, though it still wants the high humidity and stable warmth this genus generally demands.
