About Alocasia azlanii

Alocasia azlanii is a compact terrestrial herb native to the lowland and montane rainforests of Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It has dark, metallic-green to maroon leaves distinguished by vivid, iridescent pink to red venation. The plant grows from a distinct basal corm, maintaining a neat basal rosette habit that remains smaller and more bullate than its relative, Alocasia reginula. It grows in humid, shaded conditions and requires well-drained, humus-rich soil to mimic its natural forest-floor habitat.
