Philodendron warszewiczii is a Central American climbing species, named for the Polish botanist and plant collector Józef Warszewicz, found in wet lowland and premontane forest across Costa Rica and Panama. Its deeply pinnatifid leaves (divided into several narrow, pointed lobes radiating from a central point) give it a silhouette often confused in trade with the more common Philodendron pedatum or dissectum, though the lobing here is typically broader and less thread-like than dissectum's. It climbs as a hemiepiphyte, producing progressively larger and more deeply divided leaves as it matures and gains height on a support. Despite genuine species status and real botanical documentation, it remains relatively underappreciated compared to its more famous lobed-leaf relatives.
