About Philodendron pedatum (Hook.) Kunth

Philodendron pedatum is a tropical climber native to the rainforests of northern South America. It shows strong heteroblasty, transitioning from simple, entire juvenile leaves to deeply lobed, pedate mature foliage as it climbs. It grows in warm, humid environments, using aerial roots to ascend tree trunks in its natural habitat. Its narrow-lobed mature leaf shape is a common identifying feature among vining aroids.
