Philodendron mamei 'Variegated' is a cream-and-white sectoral sport of the silver-mottled species, layering irregular pale patches over the cordate, bullate leaf blade in addition to the species' usual silver mottling. Like the species, it grows as a low, creeping hemiepiphyte with a horizontal rhizome that roots at the nodes rather than climbing.
