Snake Scale stands out among Scindapsus cultivars for texture rather than colour — elongated leaves covered in a raised, overlapping pattern that genuinely resembles reptile scales, with no variegation or colour patches involved. The scale-like relief is most pronounced on well-lit, mature growth, and the effect is subtle enough in low light that plants can look deceptively plain until you catch the surface at an angle. It's a trailing/climbing vine with the same easy-going care profile as most Scindapsus, and forms the base of the rarer 'Snake Scale Tricolor' variegated sport.
