About
Anthurium queremalense was described by Thomas Croat from cloud-forest specimens collected near Queremal, Colombia, and is prized among velvet-leaf collectors for its long, softly pendent leaves. The elongated, sagittate blades carry a pronounced velutinous sheen and bold ivory-white venation that stands out sharply against the deep green surface. In habitat it grows as an epiphyte in the humid, filtered light of the understory, and mature specimens can produce leaves well over a metre long that arch gracefully from a short, clustering stem. Its combination of size, texture, and slow, deliberate growth keeps it firmly in the advanced-collector tier.
