Anthurium 'Cauca Queen' combines the rounded, near-peltate blade and silvery-green venation of Anthurium forgetii with the strongly rugose, corrugated surface of Anthurium rugulosum. The result is a rounder-leaved sibling to 'Canal Queen', showing more visible silvery venation running through a pronounced rugose texture rather than the darker, more monochromatic finish papillilaminum crosses tend to produce. It keeps forgetii's characteristically reduced sinus, giving the leaf an almost shield-like outline.

Where Canal Queen leans papillilaminum-dark, Cauca Queen leans forgetii-round and forgetii-silver. The shared rugulosum parent gives both their corrugated surface, but the second parent does most of the work distinguishing them at a glance. If a seller can't tell you which velvet-leaf parent sits alongside the rugulosum, ask for a clear photo of the leaf outline before assuming which cross you're getting.
