About
Anthurium debilius (also referenced under the synonym Anthurium debile) is a terrestrial species from Colombia's Valle del Cauca, named by Thomas Croat for its notoriously fussy disposition in cultivation. Its large, heart-shaped leaves are heavily bullate, with raised, blistered venation that gives the surface a distinctive three-dimensional, pebbled texture over a matte, smoky-green blade. New growth typically emerges in coppery-bronze tones before hardening off to the mature colouring. It stays compact for a velvet-leaf species and is a favourite among collectors chasing unusual leaf texture rather than sheer size, though it demands consistent humidity and is quick to decline if conditions slip.
