Monstera standleyana G.S. Bunting Morphology
About Monstera standleyana G.S. Bunting
Monstera standleyana is a tropical wet-forest climber native to Central America. It thrives in the shaded understory, ascending tree trunks with aerial roots in warm, humid conditions with consistent moisture and filtered light. Its adult leaves are characterized by being thick, glossy, and deeply green, with a lanceolate shape and a long acuminate tip. The stem is climbing, featuring distinct nodes and aerial roots, and the leaves are typically unfenestrated or show very minor perforation.

Honduras to Panama Climber
Named for Paul Standley, the American botanist who contributed enormously to the documentation of Central American plant diversity in the first half of the 20th century. A climbing Monstera from Honduras to Panama that has attracted collector interest partly because of the variegated form circulating in the trade and partly because the species-type itself has clean, fenestrated adult leaves worth growing. At upper middle tier pricing.
